Quinnipiac University - Online Master of Science in Business Analytics Program
The School of Business at Quinnipiac University offers an online Master of Science in Business Analytics program that targets the interpretive, quantitative, and presentation skills used by data professionals in the business world. The program’s curriculum focuses on the business applications of data mining, data warehousing, and data visualization, and the technologies associated with business analytics. Students are required to complete 33 credits of coursework for graduation, which can be accomplished in two years of part-time enrollment by those who take two courses per semester. The program is 100% online and does not require any campus visits.
Quinnipiac University utilizes a learning management system (LMS) that supports asynchronous instruction. Courses do require student participation and interaction on designated online discussion forums. However, video lectures and other course materials are accessible on-demand to students through the LMS, and instructors are accessible via email.
The MS in Business Analytics curriculum at Quinnipiac University is built on a foundation of seven core courses and a Business Analytics Capstone project that together add up to 24 of the 33 credits needed for graduation. These include an Introduction to Business Analytics, as well as courses in the following subject areas: Predictive Modeling; Data Management; Data Warehousing; Data Mining; Text Mining; and Data Visualization. Students are then able to choose three additional classes from a range of electives in order to complete the degree’s crediting requirements. The electives offered in the field of Business Analytics include: Optimization; Web Analytics and Web Intelligence; Insurance Analytics; Business Design and Object-Oriented Analysis; Project Management; and R Programming for Data Analysis.
