The time to graduation for full-time students who take two courses per eight-week term is 14 months. Students who opt to take one course per term on a part-time basis can expect to finish the program in two-and-a-half years.

The MS in Applied Analytics program at Saint Louis University is a professional degree designed for students who have at least three-years of work experience in analytics or a related field. It utilizes a learning management system that supports both synchronous and asynchronous instruction. Videotaped lectures and many other course materials are available on-demand to online students 24-7. However, there are also moderated online discussion forums that are held in real-time according to a set schedule. The University of Missouri’s online Master of Science in Data Science and Analytics program targets a wide range of professional applications for data technologies. Students in the program can choose from six concentrations: Data Journalism/Strategic Communication; Biotechnology; Human Centered Design For Data; High Performance Computing; and Geospatial analytics. The program requirements, which include a Big Data Analytics Case Study and a Big Data Capstone project, can be completed in two years.
