Southern New Hampshire University - Online Master of Science in Healthcare Administration

The College of Online and Continuing Education at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) offers an online Master of Science in Healthcare Administration (MSHA). This degree is aligned with the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA). As such, the program focuses on four key skill areas: critical thinking, computational skills, communication, and societal and cultural context. Topics covered may include biostatistics, healthcare law, healthcare economics, global health, and healthcare informatics. The program is specifically designed for entry-level or mid-level managers in the healthcare industry.

The online MS in Healthcare Administration begins five times per year, in October, December, March, May, August. The degree consists of 36 credits and can be completed in just 15 months taking two courses per 10-week term. The program is 100% online with no campus visits required.

Online MS in Healthcare Administration courses are delivered asynchronously and include videos, assignments, individual or group projects, presentations, readings, and examinations. Courses for SNHU’s online MS in Healthcare Administration may include Healthcare Informatics, Global Health and Diversity, Biostatistics, Marketing, Communications Strategies and Outreach, Healthcare Quality and Improvement, Leading/Managing Not-For-Profit Organizations, Strategic Human Resource Management, Healthcare Finance and Reimbursement, Economic Principles of Healthcare and Health Policy and Law. In addition, students complete a capstone course. Prerequisites to the program may include Population-Based Epidemiology and Human Behavior in Organizations.
